Dr. Ruchita Shah is a board-certified therapeutic optometrist specializing in dry eye, glaucoma, and specialty contact lenses. As the Clinical Director of Accuvision Dry Eye, she leads a team dedicated to helping patients find lasting relief from chronic dry eye conditions.

With years of clinical experience, Dr. Shah has become a trusted expert in diagnosing and managing complex ocular surface diseases. Her passion for innovation has led her to actively participate in clinical research trials, contribute to ongoing scientific publications, and speak professionally on the latest in dry eye diagnostics and therapies.

A native of Austin, Texas, Dr. Shah graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she developed a strong foundation in ocular health and vision care. 

Dr. Shah is passionate about bringing cutting-edge technology and innovative treatment options to her patients in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Her commitment to staying current with the latest developments in eye care allows her to offer the best possible outcomes for those suffering from dry eye and other ocular conditions. 

In her spare time, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, exploring new restaurants, and traveling.
